Dr Philip Byrne

Dr Philip Byrne, lead implant dentist at Erskine Dental Care, is highly experienced at providing same day teeth solutions for patients that may have previously been told that they do not have enough bone for dental implants or are not suitable for fixed teeth.

Dr Byrne is experienced in advanced implant techniques, having placed thousands since his first in 2007. The All on 4 dental implant technique can be life-changing, allowing patients to attend the surgery in the morning and leave with a fixed top or bottom set a few hours later.

The All on 4 concept was developed in order to minimise the number of implants required to replace an entire arch (jaw) of teeth and to enable the bridge to be fitted to the implants on the same day. Traditional implant techniques require 8-10 implants – this costs more and requires a period of healing time where the bridge cannot be fixed onto the implants.

The technique requires a minimum of 4 dental implants to support a full set of upper or lower teeth. At Erskine Dental Care, we usually place 5 or 6 implants, at no additional cost to our patients, allowing the new bridge to spread biting forces more evenly and providing better value for money.
