Emergencies

In the unfortunate event of a dental emergency*, please telephone our receptionist on 0141 812 8420.

Calls received before 10.30am will usually be offered an appointment the same day but all emergencies will be offered an appointment within 24 hours. Please be flexible with your availability and bear in mind our normal working day often involves performing treatment of a complex nature.

If you suffer a dental emergency that falls out of hours, during the weekend or on a public holiday, please call NHS 24 on 111 (free from mobiles and landlines). NHS 24 is open 24 hours a day.

If the problem is not an emergency, eg. a lost filling/crown, broken tooth or bleeding gums, call reception on 0141 812 8420 and we will offer you the earliest available appointment.

* Dental emergencies include: severe pain, persistent bleeding (not controlled by local measures – see Care instructions following an extraction), facial swelling or external trauma to the mouth or teeth.
